Our marketplace is a place where people access gently-used household goods by contributing time, skills, or service — creating dignity, connection, and shared responsibility.

We're in our Founding Phase

The Community Marketplace is built entirely from donated household goods. Before we can open our doors, we first need the community to help stock the shelves.

This founding phase allows us to:

Collect quality household items
Organize them with care and intention
Prepare a marketplace that feels welcoming and dignified

Once we reach our initial inventory goal, the marketplace will officially open to the community.

A Marketplace built on Exchange & care for our community

The Connected Home Exchange Marketplace allows individuals and families to access household goods by contributing their time and energy to the community. Some people give items. Some give services. Everyone belongs.

Items will vary based on donations but you can expect to find:

How the Marketplace Works

1: Browse the Marketplace ONLINE.

We are starting with keeping our donated items in our storage facility. As items are donated, we will post the items online so you can shop easily.

2: Choose How you will pay for your items.

All items are available for purchase with $ or by committing to donate time to one of our community service projects.

You do not have to fulfill your community service commitment prior to picking up your items. Your home comes first so we will schedule you to serve when you pick up the items.

We use an honor system here and trust that you will fulfill your promise to us and to your community. Failure to fulfill your promise to serve will result in the inability to access any benefits from our organization in the future.

2: Schedule a time to pick up or have your items delivered.

Since we do not have a storefront location (YET!) our donated items are in a storage facility. We can arrange to meet you there to pick up your items or we can deliver the items to your home (Delivery fees will be applied)

3. Give Time, Receive Goods.

If you decide to purchase with your time, your time supports community projects, organizing efforts, or operational needs — and earns access to marketplace items.

4. Everyone Benefits

Homes become functional & welcoming. Community projects get support.

Pricing: Dollars or Time

Every item in the Community Marketplace is priced in two ways:

A dollar amount, and
A time contribution amount

This allows community members to choose how they participate in the exchange.

If you prefer to pay with money, you’re welcome to do so.
If you prefer to contribute time, you can “purchase” items by donating hours to community service or support projects through the Connected Community Exchange.

Both options hold equal value and help sustain the marketplace.
